It seems more and more fishermen are using the braided 'super lines' now. And the manufacturers continue to improve the lines and bring new products to the market. Berkley's NanoFil, Spiderwire Ultracast and Stealth Braids, Power Pro 300 are just a few of the offerings available. One thing all of these lines have in common is
that they are slippery and most fishing knots that are used with monofilament will slip when tied with braided line.
